What we do
Our goal is to build a healthier community!
To do this, we provide education and resources in the Othello neighborhood in Southeast Seattle. We believe that healthy food is a big part of a healthy community, so our classes aim to increase gardening awareness, encourage urban gardening, and promote healthy eating.
We also believe that a healthy community needs to be a strong community. Many of our events focus on community gathering and building relationships between neighbors. We organize workout classes, social gatherings, and neighborhood art projects.
Our classes and events are held from March – October in and around Othello Park and are always free and open to all! We hire teachers from within our community as often as possible, supporting our neighbors and keeping dollars in our neighborhood.
